Opportunities in BPO, Healthcare, Construction, Real Estate, Media and Entertainment

BPO BPO (Business Process Outsourcing) of India is one of the rapidly growing ITES (Information Technologies Enabled Services). The services offered by BPO in India are varied like customer support, technical support, telemarketing, insurance processing, data processing, forms processing, bookkeeping and internet / online / web research. The liberalisation of telecom sector gave birth to unexpected growth of IT sector which further increase the speed of growth of BPOs. This has increased employment opportunities for the job seekers. The demand for BPO services has been increasing day by day with annual growth rate of around 50%. This continuously increasing the need for employment in this industry. The foreign companies are much more interested in outsourcing the work to India. India alone handles 56% of the world’s BPOs work. Major BPO companies in India are WNS Group, Wipro Spectramind, Daksh e-Services, Convergys, HCL Technologies, Zenta, First Source, Mphasis, EXL, Tracmail, GTL Ltd ,v Customer, HTMT, 24/7 Customer and Sutherland Technologies. Genpact is also one of the BPO established in 1997. it offer outsourcing services to many big client. Salaries in BPOs Industries are continue to be in the increasing path over a constant rate. The retention rate of employee in BPO is low. Thus, the increase in salary would be obvious to retain employee. There are many other strategies which touch comfort level of employee for their retention. In competition of this Industry, other Industry has also raised their pay scale. BPO provides employment to large part of society. The school and college pass outs, who were earlier finding difficulties to get started with job. They are now have easy going to join the Industry, because BPO doesn’t need specialised and technical skills.  Thus come with the boon to the excess population to increase the employment opportunities. Media and Entertainment Media and Entertainment industry is one of the sector which growing with explosive growth. It’s major segments are television, print and films. Other segments are radio, music, animation, gaming and visual effects (VFX) and Internet advertising. According to the Industrial Chamber FICCI, Media and Entertainment Industry is growing with 12.5%  growth every year. In the film segment of this sector, the speed of growth picked by expansion of multiplex screens through better realisations, an increase in the number of digital screens facilitating wider releases, higher cable and satellite revenues, improving collections from the overseas markets and ancillary revenue streams like DTH, digital downloads etc.  The Television Industry is also gaining momentum due to liberalised era. Television segment consist TV distributing network, broadcasting and content production. Print media includes newspaper and magazines. Animation and Internet segment include gaming, internet advertising and advertising portals. Health Care Sector Healthcare sector is the sector which provides goods and services in prevention, treatment and management of illness. Healthcare sector also deals with prevention of mental and physical well being through the services provided by medical, nursing and allied health professions. Sector mainly include services like Hospitality, Medical devices, Pathology, Medical tourism, Telemedicine and Health Insurance. Healthcare sector account for around 5 % of the GDP. The contribution of public sector in healthcare is 1% of the GDP. About 80% of spending in Health care sector spending comes from private sector. Healthcare sector provides opportunities  through innovation, differentiation and profit. Growth in this sector is on the upward trend. There is large number of new opportunities are lying in healthcare sector in both the sector, rural as well as urban. New business which were emerged are Clinics, Health insurance organizations, Consulting firms Healthcare associations, Nursing homes, Hospitals, Physician practices, Mental health organizations, Rehabilitation centers, Public health departments, Skilled nursing facilities,  Universities and research institutions. Construction and Real Estate Real Estate and Construction sector are two major sector to be emphasised by developing countries. When the development is on the path of becoming the developed nation, these two sector are of very much concerned for policy makers of India. Indian real estate is on the expanding path. The number of developers are increasing and the consultancy work is also increasing. This increase the employment opportunities for the workforce to work in real estate. These sectors contributed about 10% to 11% to the GDP of the country. Real Estate and Construction are vital sector for the Infrastructure development. Developers of Real Estate are having huge opportunities of growth. There are many CEOs are having joint venture to start in Real Estate Developer. The newly made metropolitan cities are becoming the centre of attraction for the developers for making housing societies. The demand for own house is also pushing the wheel of growth of Real Estate. The demand of commercial property is also plunging to develop the better infrastructure . Construction sector is also flourishing in with overall growth of the economy. About half  of the total investment of the country taken by construction sector. This Sector is having greater connection with other Industries like cement, steel, chemicals, paints, tiles, fixtures and fittings. This means, construction sector is playing vital role in enhancing the overall economy of the nation. Major real estate companies in India are DLF group, Parsvnath developers limited, Unitech group and  K. Raheja group. Other companies in these sector are Suncity Projects, Merlin Groups, Magicbricks, NK Realtors, 99acres and Mittal Builders.
